Originally from Show Low, Theo grew up exploring the pine forests and mountains of eastern Arizona. Raised on cowboy lore, the idea of becoming a lawman always seemed natural to him. Around his 16th birthday, Theo’s parents and younger brother, Dietrich, disappeared while hiking the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest. No bodies were ever found. This had a profound effect on young Theo and strengthened his resolve to enter law enforcement. Beginning in the local sheriff’s department, he distinguished himself by being able to ‘get inside’ the head of fugitives. It was inevitable that the Federal Marshals would come recruiting. Theo has seem some very strange things in the south west, enough to make him begin to wonder if there are things out in the night…

Theo has a ‘lucky charm’ he found in a Flagstaff curio shop. A medallion of Saint Cyprian, he acquired it for reasons even does not fully understand, yet when confronted by a seemingly unstoppable serial killer deep in the forests of eastern AZ, he survived when four other officers did not. Theo attributes this to the medallion. Unbeknownst to him, the tarnished disk is actually a Talisman of Protection, a blessed item that grants him +2 Toughness versus direct attacks from supernaturally evil creatures, their powers, and spells.
