Also known as The Ridden, many apparently normal people are in fact possessed by demonic or spiritual entities. While for many this condition is obvious (though usually mistaken for some form of mental illness), and temporary, the appellation generally refers to those for whom possession is a long term and in some cases, voluntary condition. Causes of possession vary widely but there are persistent rumors of some form of organization behind a significant portion of occurrences.
